Traditional tube fabricating called for the part to be bent first then travel through several different piercing operations before the final pack out. With the camera feature, we can now laser cut all of the holes into the straight tube and then place that tube directly into the bender. The camera finds the correct location for the holes in the straight and orients them before bending which reduces the scrap and handling on many different parts. We have seen processing time reductions of 50% on parts using this method of manufacturing.One of Titan’s many strengths is our versatile bending capabilities. One of the four tooling sections is a “variable radius” feature that gives you unlimited radius flexibility because it’s formed with rollers that are built into the dies. This feature eliminates multiple setups on different equipment that are often associated with a combination of draw bends and large sweeping bends on the same part.
